Tottington Woodlanders

We are a registered charity which manages an area of ancient woodland next to the village of Small Dole near Henfield in West Sussex.

Results of Botanical Survey 2014

During the Spring and Summer we have been collecting records for the floral survey in .  Generally we attempt to survey those cants which have been coppiced in the previous season, but this year we deviated from this pattern.  The reason for this being the time it is taking us to cut Cant B. T Shirt Philipp Plein Pas Cher  Because we have cut this cant for the past couple Parajumpers Denali Jacket Dam of years the survey was unlikely to be very informative; it would simply be a repetition of the information gained over the past two years.  With this in mind we agreed to record Cant J  (because that was one of the areas cut the previous season) and also Cant X.  In addition we devised a new Cant (Y) which corresponds to the footpath between the two parts of the Alexander Mcqueen Pas Cher industrial estate, running from the playing field to the service road through the estate.  Technically Cant Y is not an area worked by Tottington Woodlanders, but it is integral to the woodland and has a rich flora that is slightly different from the rest of the wood, and it provides another habitat type.  Cant X has not been surveyed for many years and Cant Y has never been surveyed.

Below are listed the species found in each Cant.  For those of you who are interested in the technical side of botany the results follow the nomenecular of “New Flora of the British Isles (Third Edition) by Clive Stace (Stace III) Printed by Cambridge University Press 2011.
